The Makita model LS1040 is a very good quality, powerful, robust mitre saw with a built in dust collection system. The saw is an excellent power tool to use when you need to make a quick, very accurate crosscut in your work piece at a selected angle. The back fence, as well as having holes drilled for additional support plates, features a pivoting section on the left hand side which can be moved in or out of position to give the best support when cutting either steep or shallow bevels.
